ANET Lab research fellow Gergő Tóth was one of the recipients of the Bárány Róbert Award from the Hungarian Research Network (formerly Eötvös Lóránd Research Network of Hungary). The award was established to recognize the work of young scholars across scientific disciplines. Gergő received the award for his first-authored paper titled 'Inequality is rising where social network segregation interacts with urban topology,' published in Nature Communications. This work contributes to network science and planning literature by investigating the role of social network fragmentation and the urban environment in the inequality of settlements.
