BIO

Due to the growing competencies in a private sector, Miroslav has decided to leave the position of data-specialist so that he could direct all his attention to research. Now, in his fifth and final year, he is about to complete PhD at the University of Economics in Bratislava, Slovakia. In his thesis, he is concerned with the differing roles of universities in regional innovation systems. He also aims to create (and publish) unique, innovative, and large-scale dataset that would provide comprehensive information on publication and patenting activity of European universities. For this purpose, he is visiting ANET Lab, Centre for Economics and Regional Studies where he collaborates with Balazs Lengyel. Thus, his research interest lies between the areas of economic geography and data-science.
